Home

My primary camera is the Canon 20D an 8.2 mega-pixel digital SLR with the BG-E2 grip.
The back-up camera is the Canon 10D a 6.3 mega-pixel digital SLR with the BG-ED3 grip.
This 24-70mm f/2.8 L lens is on my camera for most portrait work.
For close-up, sports, or head and shoulder portraits I use the 70-200mm f/2.8 IS L lens. 70-200mm, IS, L: telephoto zoom
That last lens is heavy, so I steady it with a Bogen monopod.
Precision metering is with the Sekonic L358 equipped with wireless control of my PocketWizard units.
This Canon gadget bag holds my camera body, meter and back-up media.
My sturdy Bogen 3020 tripod is used both in studio and on location.
Proper white balance is achieved with the Kodak grey card.
Sandisk is my compact flash card.
Traveling on site I use two of the Metz mecablitz 54 flashes.

To get the flash off the camera into a higher position, I use the Stroboframe Pro-RL bracket.

Indoors I'll soften the flash with a Lumiquest Pocket Bouncer.

If I need fill flash outside or want to trigger my studio lights then the PocketWizard PLUS provides remote control.

Outdoors and indoors I use Photoflex reflectors:
Photoflex MultiDisc
Photoflex Oval reflector
Studio lighting is powered by White Lightning X800 mono lights.
All of my studio lighting equipment fits neatly into this Callaway golf bag.
Light modifiers include Photoflex soft boxes and umbrellas:

PhotoFlex Medium StripDome
PhotoFlex LiteDome
Photoflex Umbrella

My background stand is from Savage.

Scenic muslin backdrops from Amvona.

Hand-painted muslin from Gail Degnan at Artistic Backgrounds.
Backgrounds are lit with honeycomb grids.

I work on an HP Pavilion ZD7010 laptop with a huge 17" screen set to 1440x900 pixels.
